Meet the team

Richard Baker

Minnesota Youth Alive Director
Richard began his ministry career at Christ Church on Lake Street in Minneapolis, MN. With a youth group of 15 students, Richard quickly realized that something needed to be done to reach the generation growing up just outside the church walls. The Holy Spirit led him in some creative outreach that grew the youth ministry to 80 plus students who represented the neighborhood. While there, he was challenged to reach even further into the schools, which led him to work with Youth for Christ USA. This provided training and experience to reach students at school. Working both as a para-church missionary and a youth pastor, uniquely prepared Richard for the first Youth Alive missionary position in the Minnesota District of the Assemblies of God. Now, 25 years later, more than 27,000 students have responded to the Gospel, more than 10,000 students have received instruction in reaching their classmates for Christ and more than 500,000 students have received a message of hope while at school through one of the school assembly programs offered by MN Youth Alive. He is still motivated to see every student, at every school, in every community hear the message of hope found in Jesus Christ before they graduate from high school.

During those sessions, Bobby imparts his wisdom and expertise to help youth pastors navigate the challenges of ministry and to connect their youth ministry to the local school.

Kelli Patrick

Student Engagement
After 8 years of being a Youth Pastor in Minnesota, Kelli joined our team. In her own words, “I have always loved when students recognize that their calling is not a destination but a journey. My role in Youth Alive Student Engagement is to help Ignite a passion in students, Identify how they can use their passions, and Inspire them to run after a God sized dream. I do this by speaking on Wednesday nights, meeting with students and helping create a community so students can feel connected and equipped.” Kelli and her family are located in Central Minnesota.
